The rain keeps coming and the pigs have decided this really isn’t fun. We have weaned the sows which means the piglets are in the yard and cots for a week before going back outside – All the pedigree piglets have had a tattoo on each ear- blue ink everywhere

The rain followed by warm sunny days has made everything green and lush. Lots more chicks and ducklings hatching and even more eggs under broody hens. Ducks enjoying the grass and slugs!

We managed a slightly damp Hog Roast. It was raining so much we started cooking in the stock trailer. However by 2pm the rain had stopped and we managed to finish outside. Pork delicious – guests happy. Our last sow has now farrowed giving us another 17 piglets Chicks, ducks and ducklings still available
